Headlight Problem
I was driving to work this morning using high beams. When suddenly headlights went out. Switched to low beams lights came back on.
Switched back to high beams lights worked then went out.
Any ideas what may be causing this to happen would be appreciated.

I had a bare wire on my foot powered dimmer switch that caused the same problem. I replaced the switch, but all I need to do was to fix the wire. You might try looking there first....

77's have a column mounted dimmer switch so wiring wasn't as much of a problem as when they where mounted on the floor. Headlight switchs have a built in circuit breaker. Something is causing the breaker to kick out. I would start by replacing the headlight bulbs. They are fairly inexpensive. I have seen vibration cause the element to touch together causeing all kinds of weird things.
