I had the same fuel starvation problem with my '82. It turned out to be a rotten fuel hose. There is a small piece of rubber hose that connects the fuel pump to the steel fuel line. Of course it's in the gas tank. On mine, the hose was so loose and rotten it was almost totaly disconnected from the hard line. Result: Very little fuel pressure.

Here's the latest. Strated checking everything with test light. At tank fuel pump getting occassional power. Isolated the fuel relay and it was staying closed. Had a friend hold it open and now fuel to the injectors, but not spraying out. Called local Chev dealer and they said the relay controls the injectors too. He feels that this is the problem, bad relay. He ordered one for me aqnd it will be here tomorrow. I hope this is it, fingers crossed :(

Don't forget the oil pressure sensor. If the oil pressure sensor indicates low pressure it breaks the fuel pump power (Safety feature). You mentioned an oil change had just been done...so I figure maybe the oil pump is not primed due to a long time without running.

Calm, I have oil pressure which I can see by the guage when I crank it.
TK, the relay is mounted in the Battery compartment behind the drivers seat. It is between the ECM and the body wall, held in by 2 screws/bolts. A PITA to get out, :mad
