Default Saginaw Steering Pump-68 Vette

Does anyone know how many gallons per minute the pump is rated at?

The 1963 through 1969 Corvette power steering pumps were rated at 1.75 gallons per minute.

1970 through 1973 Corvette pumps were rated at 1.6 gallons per minute.

1974 through 1981 Corvette pumps were rated at 2.9 gallons per minute.

The 1982 pump output was reduced to 1.9 gallons per minute as a fuel economy improvement.

I have no idea as to why the pumps had so many different outputs
through the years.

All pumps had pressure relief settings of 950 psi.

This might be helpful:
All Corvette pumps with the male thread on the driveshaft (keyed pulleys) had between 1.6 or 1.75 gpms (except 1974).

All pumps with smooth driveshafts (interference fit pulleys) had 2.9 gpms (except 1982).
