Default battery charge
is it ok to charge a battery in the car on an 81. have done it many times but read somewhere that it could harm the computer on an 81. thanks, namvet

If you charge at a rate of 2 to 10 amps it should not be a problem.

Yes it's safe and agreed with above post, and don't start the car with the charger still plugged. Lower Amps is the best for charging.

If there is a risk to the car's electrical system, it should be described in the owner's manual. Otherwise, it shouldn't be a problem if you are not performing an "unusual" charging process.
