replaced my carb for the 3rd time now after 2 junk Edel 600's with a Holly 670 Avenger with dual feed, problem is now both Mr Gasket dual feed kits I put on both leak, now I dont even get any power from the bat. Its 100% charged but no lights radio or anything.

I cant take much more Im ready to just give it away before I shoot it.

I hear ya bro. Take a step back. I never buy kits for Holley carbs from anyone but Holley. Double check your ground connection on the battery....

I use the cheap chrome dual feed steel line and put teflon tape on the threads and it never leaks.
you need a hotrodder look at your car because it sounds like it needs a day of going over and adjusting.

For the battery, I'm going with dirty terminals, or bad ground. Pretty easy fix. Clean of the terminals on the battery, any sort of film or anything on them can cause this, and then check the main ground cable, should be connected to the tranny, and will likely be rusty. Clean it.

Actually the neg cable is connected to the frame. It comes through the bottom of the battery box and goes directly to the frame. I'd start with the electrical stuff first, and I agree, it's likely a dirty or loose connection at one of the battery cables. Another place to look on the 81 is the starter harness connection at the rear of the passenger side of the engine.

post some pics of the car and a price !

(these are minor problems. )
The advice about buying Holley parts only from Holley is good advice. Teflon tape never hurts either.

i got the Holly kit from Jegs last night 108.00 shipped but guess what? I got the wrong frikkin one. It is for the 4160 which is what I thought it was.
I ordered the pipe dope too for gas lines and just kept that and put on the MR Gasket threads. Who knows if it worked until I can start it again...
ERRR.

Now to start chasing electrical problems.

Have you given any thought as to what caliber is needed to put it out of your misery? A 416 Remington magnum with 400 solid bronze bullet at front license plate level would likely travel completely through both the engine block and slushbox trans. Reload, shoot, repeat as needed. Make sure you post pics of the carnage. We love pics!

.50 BMG is now widely available as a rifle round and would also get the job done nicely via Barrett M107A1.

Be sure to call your shot as 69 Chevy has indicated to minimize your risk of over-penetration.

81$$pit: remember, failure is an integral part of experience. Deal well with failure and you'll be able to deal with anything. Keep working at it and posting here. Just about everyone on here has gone through what you're going through now. We all relate

Aslo, it's not your uncle's Camaro, its a Corvette, its worth the hassle.

I went through 3 chrome Mr.Gasket crappy twin fuel lines, thay all leaked even with teflon tape. Jegs, and POL, gave me credits for them and said throw them out, they are garbage! Went racing braided route.....fixed! Next time I'll get out my tube bender and flare tool and do it right....MYSELF!

The 4160 kit should work.
