Removing Paint from Chrome?

What's the best way to remove paint from the chrome windshield pillar posts? :confused:
I'm trying to clean them up but I don't want to scratch the chrome...

Try some never dull - or maybe some thinner on a q-tip or a cotton ball. :yesnod:

i used very fine steel wool and it didnt seem to leave any scratches at all..takes of paint ,rust,shines up dulled areas..
