Rear Spring disassembly (70)
What's the trick to getting the nut off the bolt which holds the rear springs together? The top side is a nice round button, not something you can put a wrench on. I've tried locking vice grips on the button and an wrench on the nut. I also tried an impact wrench on the other side thinking it might break it free. No dice. All I'm doing in gnarling up the button. Thanks, ~Juliet

Most of the time I use a tourch or a cutoff wheel. Be sure to have the spring pack clamped togther when you do this. The new center bolt will be real long and you cut off the excess after you have the spring pack back together. The Center bolt comes real long to make it easier to reassemble the spring.

Hey Juliet, I'm pretty sure that the bolt is still avaliable from the General! Get rid of that old rusty bolt and get a new one, Hey, I sent some pics of my body-codes and numbers all over the underside. Did you get them? Must of been a month of longer. See Ya Thad :seeya

THanks Thad. That's easy to get then. :) Yes, I got the pictures. Thanks. Theyr'e not online yet. I just finished coding an auto HTML generator for the registry. Now I can easily get everyone's stuff online MUCH faster. Don is helping me with the database. I had about a month there were I was literally doing 70+ hours a week. :( But at least that's over now so I can hit the books. :smash: I've got some school deadlines I need to meet by August!
