Any recomendations on which type of waterpump to buy?

What kind of engine and what kind of mods? You can not go wrong with either a Moroso (or like kind) high flow aluminum or a Stewart stage 2 with the proper thermostat.

For 1973 and later C3 small blocks a Delco-Remy with casting #330813. This is the "short" pump with a 3/4" shaft. Most Chevy pumps have a 5/8" shaft.

Hint: When I changed mine a few years ago I had to install the old water pump hose fittings to the new pump because I was stupid and didn't ask for new fittings. Take some advice, save your hands and get the new fittings too!
