I have had a subscription to Corvette Fever for years. It was recently folded into Vette magazine. I received an e-mail to renew, but I am not sure if I want to. Corvette Enthusiast has also gone away, and it was the only other Magazine I had ever subscribed to.
Which vette magazines do you read? Obviously as a C3 owner, I would like one that focuses on C3, but since that one does not exist, which one would be the next best thing?
I am not much for racing, but would like it to have a primary focus on repairs, modifications, etc, even if they were on years besides C3.
Just looking for inputs before I decide which mag to subscribe to.
I'm of the view that we should collectively drop all subscriptions to all Corvette magazines, and their merged, quasi Corvette ad slicks and send a message we expect better.

Seems like in most major book stores we are down to 2 Corvette magazines, Vette and Corvette Magazine.
Ever notice how many Porsche magazines there are? If you're a 911 guy there are several choises. There is even a "Classic Porsche" magazine. A little frustrating to say the least.
I enjoyed Corvette Fever when it was still around. Super Chevy is the only magazine I still subscribe to, but obviously not for Corvette coverage, as it's non existant in there, but I love all classic Chevys.
I only subscribe when I come across one of those $10-$11 a year deals.
No way I'd pay anymore than that.
Right now I've got the last 2 months of Vette in the 'reading room' and have hardly looked at em. Full of C6 stuff.
Why do they cater to the C6 crowd? Advertizers?
A long time ago I received the free Joe Pike edited GM publication, Corvette News. They stopped publishing sometime in the 80's. Then GM started Corvette Quarterly, about $30 per year. They went belly up in April '09. They even sent back my subscription $$$.
http://www.vette-vues.com/ is small in size--~8.5"x5.5"--but almost 200 pages. I would say it's like Corvette News and Hemmings Motor News all wrapped in one. Except exclusively Vettes.

I know what ya mean, bro. I really liked Corvette Fever, and was one of the many who got stuck getting Vette magazine when they merged. I don't like it nearly as much as Corvette Fever. *sigh*
Thanks everyone for your input. For the first time in a long time, I may not have a corvette subscription. it is a sad day. maybe I should buy and old Porsche instead
The Corvette Restorer and Corvette Driveline. I refuse to subscribe to Auto Enthusiast only to see three or four pages of Corvettes. Vette fell out of favor with me way, way back. Articles concerning C6 bling do not interest me.
I really liked Corvette Market magazine, but I was notified a few days ago that it's being replaced by "American Classic Car" magazine covering all classic american cars instead of just corvettes. It reminds me of what happened to Corvette Enthusiast when it became Auto Enthusiast.
Hi Richard,
I agree with Mike.
If you're interested in 'stockish' Corvettes and parts, the NCRS deal is pretty good. $35 a year for 4 magazines (no ads), and 6 issues of member classified ads and vendor/supplier ads, (the last issue was 140 pages!).
Worth a try?
Regards,
Alan
I'm sure I'm a little biased since I've written quite a few articles for the former Corvette Enthusiast and this year with Auto Enthusiast...I think it's turned out to be a pretty neat piece.
Sure it's not all Corvette....but there really are a lot of features that apply to our stuff. Most recently the carb tuning articles, engine builds, rear end builds, brake upgrades etc. Once you take off the blinders, you can see that instead of just 100 or so pages like even the big boys like Hot Rod/Car craft etc have....Auto Enthusiast is around 200 pages total each month. Lots of tech stuff applies to any car, whether it's made out of plastic or not.
They've also been a big supporter of folks here on this Forum by featuring quite a few of our cars. They really are gear heads and love to drive Vette's (the editor Andy has a C-4 with a supercharger on it plus some street rods).
I'll be at SEMA next week with them all...so I'm watching this thread close to give feedback to them as to what folks want to see in print.
Just for reference....what do you guys think of al the new stuff out there that the various mags use like I-pod APPs etc...daily and weekly on-line articles/updates. Is that stuff you like and use?
I used to get Corvette Fever, but now my subscription has become VETTE. I like the magazine and renewed my subscription for new products and upgrades. I find it gives fair coverage to the Corvette generations. If you want C-3 exclusive information in a magazine, it doesn't exist. There are many options to having specific C-3 related questions answered, however.
