Just curious where you are mounting your MSD boxes. Is anyone mounting it in the interior away from heat and vibration? Post pics if available.
Thanks,
Rex
Mine is mounted on the back side of the map pocket (69). The map pocket hides the mounting screws.
That works great for me as well. Out of sight and no problems of any kind. My car has no a/c so whether duct work for that may make a difference I can't say.
on the trans tunnel inside the car on the pass side, up high around where the ashtray is. if that makes sense. it still gets warm even in the interior. i'd hate to see how hot it gets in the engine compartment
the po thought it would be nice to have it support your passengers feet, while the remote timing box cut your ankle.i relocated where it would not be seen.
I mounted mine up and down longways behind the passenger side wheelwell under the coolant overflow tank. I'll try and take pics later for you, I'm going to be working on the car tday.

put it under the hood. I made the mistake of putting a 6AL behind the glove box on a 1966 GTO. It was LOUD. every time it fired a spark plug you could hear it. As far as vibration, what is the difference. it vibrates just as much inside the cabin as it does under the hood.
I guess mine is a little different. I mounted it out in front of the radiator on a flat bracket I made up. It works great, seems to stay cool, and people can still see it with the hood up.
No one mentioned a place I put a Crane HI-6. In front of the AC condenson on brackets down by the vacuum tube. Been there for 8 years or so and has not failed or caused any grief. Also can get to the rev limiter switches which if mounted inside behind the passenger dash is tough at best.
