Default 79 Vette

Im trying to remove the stock cam, but there is not enough clearance
between the motor and the condensor. I don't won't to remove the condensor. How do I loosen the condensor to move enough to remove the cam and install the new one?

The condenser has a vertical mounting bracket on both the left and right sides. They are held to the radiator support with a bolt at each corner. Once they are removed, you should be able to rotate the condenser to the passenger side. You may need to also remove the radiator support for the hoses to clear and move with the condenser. Before doing this, I would recommend securing a piece of heavy card board, or plywood to both sides of the condenser first. The support rod from the nose to radiator support will also need to come out. You might also first plan a way to secure the condenser once it is rotated. Maybe hanging from an I-bolt in a ceiling truss, not in sheet rock. I wish there was an easy way, but I'm not aware of it. Maybe pushing the bottom away a few inches will help and save some work, but you will need to play with that approach.

Default Appreciation

I appreciate your suggestion. I did what you said and it worked
great! I changed out the timing chain, cam, power steering pump,
new belts, alternator, valve covers and probably more. My Vette runs
great! Thanks for your help.
