Today was the first day my vette has seen the sunlight in 13 years. I guess I can't declare the resto as officially beginning today....but we will be getting to work soon. Today it was pushed out of the garage so we could do some spring cleaning (shelfing, work bench, more lighting, and make room for a new air compressor). Woohoo! I can't wait to atack that car with an air wrench and sandblaster:)
If you only knew how hard I tried to make myself sell this car. I had offers that were very reasonable. In the end...my pride and all those years of dreaming and planning of this car won out over my better judgment. My dad has been begging me not to sell it. I decided that this will be a good way to spend some quality time with him since we both love Corvettes. This one can be practice before we tackle his 66 coupe. So...I will dump 3 times the value of the finished product and spend countless hours with a sore back and bloody knuckles. Is it worth....Absolutely!:D
13 years? Damn. What finally pushed you over the edge?
I stopped taking my medication and I'm not thinking too rationally ;) Actually...I have reached a point where I either need to sell it and free up the garage space or get working on it. The biggest reason it was put on hold was my education. Five years undergrad and three years grad school had my finances pretty tied up.
