Default moral question

Ok, I've figured out what my Wife did for my Birthday next week.

She had my Hooker headders and side exhaust chromed (the engine isn't assembled yet, and I travel a lot, so I didn't notice them missing 'till today). Which is something that I've been wanting to do, just couldn't justify the $$$, so it is a WAY cool gift.:blueangel:

Question is, do I let on that I know, or feighn excitment next week?

David

Let it be her surprise. If you ruin it for her now it might not happen again in the future. Now you just need to create that parts list with manufactor, parts number, phone number to Summit or JEGS and leave it on the counter so she may just happen to find it for the future.

All depends on the relationship ya got.. I would play it up a bit.. Ask her if she's seen your headers in a none directive way.. You remember leaving them outside the garage but can't remember bringing them back in.. and walk away talking to yourself.. Get pissed off thinking they might be stolen and you'll have to save up for another set... She'll almost pop trying to figure out what to do...  then if/when she approaches you to tell you what she's done cut her off saying you already spoke to (pick a friend) and he said he borrowed them to match them up to a set he was buying.. That just keeps the wife on her toes.. Tell him.. don't tell him... talk to friend first... Make sure your friend is in on it too.. He could tell her that he was covering for her.. It's a big thing that she did so play it up into a big thing..!

I think she will be more pissed if she goes through all this effort to hide them and you act surprised and then she finds out you were faking. Since you do know have fun with it.. Wives have to know that their husbands know EVERYTHING...
