Does anybody know????
Hi, a local supplier has a nice original engine harness for a manual car,my car is a BB auto. 2 things: will an engine harness be for a BB or small block car or it can do both, and the harness has the little black boot that attaches to the TCS thing on the 4 speed car, will an automatic harness have this wrapped up hidden in its harness. Are they different in any other aspect. Thanks for all input. Babypig. The harness and my car are both 70 cars.

this company lists no difference between SB and BB but does have different harness for automatic versus manual. You could call them and ask what the difference is.

I doubt the engine harness changed between small block and big block. If the harness was actually different, the assembly instruction manual (AIM) will show two different part numbers for the harness.

I think the differences have to do with the connections for the TCS and the neutral safety switch. The differences shouldn't be that big, that you couldn't make the harness work. Worse case, you may have to splice a different terminal on or lengthen a wire or two. Buy a $6 roll of "non-stick" harness tape, and re-wrap and hide any things you need to modify.
