new side pipes, now idling high??
just installed new side pipes, hooker style, and now my car is idling much higher, almost like the choke wont turn off.
its a small block original 350.
perhaps i need to rejet the carb?
any tips on this are greatly appreciated.

If it's idling faster all of a sudden, and you didn't do anything to it other than install the exhaust, it could be because of a vacuum leak. Check everything you touched and got near to see if a vacuum line got knocked loose.
