74 carb problems

74 carb problems

Distributor died last year right before school started, and by the time I got that fixed the gas had gone very bad. Now it seems like the carb is messing up. In some trouble shooting I found that the engine ran off of carb cleaner, but it seem like no gas is getting there. Visibly I cant see any gas spraying out either.

Fuel pump seems to be working fine (disconnected it and had it pump into a gas can).

Is this a common problem? and what are some recommended fixes (or is this a "buy a new carb" problem)

Try changing the filter.

Haha that was one of the trouble shooting things that I already did. Always solid advise though.
