Ok, I forgot and have that disease of CRS. Anyway, does the rubber brake line run over the top of the spindle by the ball joint or under behind to the caliper. Looked in the AIM and not real diagram and a search turned up nothing,. Thanks

hard to picture what you are describing but the hose has to have enough play to move freely through the complete up and down movement of the spindle/caliper

The hose runs from the hard line connection on the side of the frame directly to the caliper. So it passes to the rear of the spindle and below the upper ball joint.
Mel's right, it needs to have enough legnth for steering travel, so can only really be mounted in one way.
