My new-to-me 69 speedometer bounces wildly in the 60-150 mph range at speeds less than 40 (est). Above that, it just stays pegged high.
Cable problem? Instrument problem?
Incidentally, the odometer works.
Thanks
Charles
my 'new' one from the vendor, bounced wildly from 0-70 while rolling down my driveway. if I stopped at the right point it would stay at 70.. until I then rolled a little more then it dropped to zero...
I sent it back and then received another new one that worked OK but the odometer ones and tens would stick together.. effective going 100 miles per every 10.. I sent it back and then had my original one rebuilt and all is well..
i merely state this to advise you to get your old one rebuilt and not buy a new one...
