Yes Sir; I haven't had anything chromed since I was into redoing motorcycles. But I used to send parts to Germany. That would be a lot closer than the U. S. Get on the internet to check it out. Sorry I'm of no help with the address.. Have a great one. Gene

Hi q,
When it comes to chrome plating 'best' and 'cheapest' don't go together at all.
I suggest you contact Librandi's Plating in Middletown, Pa. to see if they'll ship to Europe. 717-944-9442.
You'll have to take care of the re-painting when the grills are returned to you since platers don't paint the accent colors that are on many parts.
Regards,
Alan

Have you considered buying a new grill?

Not to hijack, but with the cost of new '70-'72 grilles heading north of $800 I'd be a little interested in what the limits of rechroming are as well...chrome shops are all but dead in SoCal now (but our environment has been duly protected, thank you!) and my '70's left grille is a little pitted and shabby...any chrome experts out there that know the limits of what can be restored?

Hi bs,
I'd think there'd be platers closer to you than Librandi.
They do however do beautiful work and are familiar with Corvette parts so you get realistic estimates and quotes.
The grills aren't easy to prep but Librandi's does a nice job.
Regards,
Alan

Hello,

I'm gonna say this to my friend q8 in "Arabic" with English letters :P go figure.

We do have people who do chroming in Kuwait, you don't need to go abroad. I would however suggest you buy new ones, if yours are in bad shape.

I talked with a vendor last weekend at the Goodguys car show in Scottsdale. He was from Escondido CA. They do all kinds of metal finishing. Can fix the grilles and rechrome as well as the bumpers.
I can not vouch for them, only that they had booth at the show and what they had displayed was nice looking work. If I dont find someone local in Phoenix I will probably send them my pieces. I talked with another vendor who sells bumpers, but its an exchange. I want my parts not someone elses.

Gee Thanks! I'll give them a call after the weekend. I'm just up the road in Temecula.
