Default 1980 front side marker lights?

Could somebody let me know how their front marker lights work? On my car, with the parking lights on, the top yellow portion lights up. With the parking lights on and I put my directional signal on, the top yellow blinks and the bottom white portion lights up. Is this correct?

It sounds like your lamps are working correctly. That's how they are designed to operate on 80-82 Corvettes.

The yellow upper portion is the side marker light. They're supposed to light, whenever any of the lights are one.

The yellow marker lights will blink, when the turn signals are activated. When the lamps are off, the side markers will blink in unison with the front parking lights. When the lamps are lit, the side markers will blink alternately, from the front parking lamps.

The white lower section is a cornering lamp, it's designed to come on when the lights are on and the turn signal is activated. It's there to illuminate the side of the road, in the direction your turning.

The red rear side markers, do not blink.
