Yeah I Did. Ended up using an aftermarket filler panel, plus my original panel. The after market filler panel fit like 'crap', so between the two, it came out pretty good.
The wire hanging out is for the 'third brake light', which we're toying around with. Just haven't come up with any uniqiue ideas yet for a 3rd brake light.
All of the seams have been filled & shaved, the only openings in the rear panel are the openings for the bumper & bumper brackets. To me, looks a whole way lot better than lookin' at those seem 'cracks' everywhere.
I seem to be 'stealin' the 'thread' hear. Didn't mean to. Sooooo back to the original guy that posted about his 'Corvette' & HIS paint job.
BLACK is one of my favorite colors on a C3. When done right, it looks 'BITCHIN'
PLEASE post some more pics here of your paint job. Thanks for takin' the time to do it too !
BTW: Keep that 'OLD SCHOOL' Painter Dude. Those are the 'Best' ones !
(Although I had a 28 year old paint mine. But, younger ones that do good work, without an attitude. are hard to come by. If you know what I mean ! )
Cruisin Davey G, You can start a thread about your car and copy these posts there then delete the parts of them here. Yours would also be a very interesting thread on it's own, I know I have questions and comments

I just learned that my son, who's working with me, or should I say, is doing most of the work, with me paying for it on OUR '72 project, has a 'Thread' going already about our Project.
This isnt the finished product. Painter said he is cutting this with 2000 and reclearing, then buffing. He said its going to look as if you could dive off in the paint when its done!
Robb Ill get a list of supplies, I do know I paid as much for the primer as the paint. Like six hundred or so for all of it. The primer is some fancy epoxy I think. Painter said that primer was like tryng to sand brick, hard as a rock. He liked all other aspects of it though. I seen him prime it and the primer was shiny like paint.

Reason: add
There PRO CAR seats, I almost ordered them to big, They barely fit in the car! They only slide 50% of what the stock ones did. Dont matter no short people goin to be driving it anyway.
Thanks everyone for the complements on the car, Not as nice as most, Its budget built!
