T56 question
Well I was driving my 76 Vette and I have a lt1 and a t56 in it. As I was cruising down the highway at about 80 I'm six gear my car jumped a bit and started making a horrible grinding sound. I pulled over to the side of the road and found the sound it coming from the transmission. It makes a horrible grinding sound in any gear. The sound goes away when I push in the clutch but the car won't move at all. It is sickening, I am thinking a rebuild is in order, anyone have any ideas what is happening inside the gear box?
