I have a pre-1995 2101 (dual bolt pattern) intake on my car. I thought I had read somewhere that a square bore Holley would not work with a 1/16" thick adapter plate. Just for an experiment, I bought a spreadbore - squarebore adapter plate and mounted my new Holley Street HP 650 DP. It worked! Only adjustment thus far was turning in the idle speed screw about 3/4 of a turn. The new carb will be going on my new Team G 7530 intake very soon. So, for the OP, a squarebore Holley will fit a spreadbore 2101 intake in case you were considering going that route.
