Hey, I changed over to a electric fan set up and a 175/185 temp sensor and it worked real well for awhile then I noticed yesterday that the temp was not ever coming up to proper temp.
I used my temp gun at the sensor and it said 86 degrees and the fans were on?
I guess that means the sensor is bad already?
Could be the sensor or perhaps the fan relays assuming you're not using a pwm fan controller. When the fans are on, unplug the temp sensor. If the fans quit, it's the sensor. If not, it's probably the relays.
Hey Tim, off the subject a little...I am getting ready to run the electrical for my dual fan setup. How did you run your wiring in regards to the main power source? Did you run it all the way to the battery or did you find another place? Also, where did you mount your sensor(assuming it is a block mount style)?

I get my power from the Alternator, and since my car is a hotrod I put the relays and stuff right where they can be seen and maintained if they need to be.
