I'd didn't find the cam specs for that combo. Do you recall them.

The reason why I ask is because I dont know much on matching parts. Im young and still learning so I kinda have to be shown. by example I mean like with a 350 which specific heads with this specific cam and you can get 400 -450 hp. I dont want to go out and buy wrong parts its an easy rookie mistake for me to do. (including good carb and other parts)

If you are looking for info on the ins and outs of SBC 383s, here's a great article to read.

I have a question on build 102, I was very interested in this build because I was hoping to add the heads and cam to my car before the 383 switch (which would mean all I would need was the rotating kit and the machining if im right) but I did not find afr 195 cc heads with .202 valve all I see is 2.05 and 2.08 or will one of those be fine on a 350 engine?

I believe this is the cam http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CC...s/?prefilter=1
im also looking at http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-08-432-8/

It's a pretty long list of SBC "recipes", so to speak, and you can get some good ideas from perusing it, but most of the stuff on this site is at least ten years old. A lot has changed in ten years, man. Still, I don't know of any other site where you can look at sooooo many different engine combos.

Afr 195's are 2.05 in street port & 2.08 on comp port. If you buy them to use on your 350, you'll loose a little low end as the velocity will be down. With the cca 08-432-8 you would probably be better off with the 180 cc afrs.

It seems with patriot heads they have to utilize a larger cam shaft in order to make more power In there crate engines. afr vortec would be a better choice, compare the flow numbers of those and the 180 eliminators on there web site. another thing with vortec style heads is they use a special bolt pattern on the intake. the exhaust might also be different.
