grandsportc3......

I guess I should thank you for the exposed lights also.

I have a picture of your Duntov on my screensaver.....my wife saw it one day and asked why I dont try to put some exposed lights on my car.

Of course I wasted no time in attempting to find some and 7782vette came through with a set.

Olivier, I have to confess that I'm not a fan of "Custom Vettes". In general terms, I believe that these cars were pretty great in the condition they rolled off the assembly line -- particularly as that relates to the headlight assembly.

So, your custom '80 does nothing for me, maybe because it so loudly flouts the fact that it is being reactionary against the stock lights.

On the other hand, from where I sit, your '68 is very hot. It is one of the few customizations I've seen that respects the essential body style, and turns it up a notch.

Don't take any of this the wrong way. You've got two very sweet cars. I'm just saying that if I could pick, I know which one I'd take.

Olivier, do you have any troubles with rocks hitting those bulbs and breaking them? The fog lights on my Eclipse have been hit by rocks a couple times and I was wondering how yours have held up.
thanks

I also prefer my 68 to my 80. That's why I am selling the '80 and only will keep the 68. The 80 Duntov is a sweet car. The only thing I would change on it would be the headlight setup. If I could - I would convert the headlights to the style they are on my 68. The rest of the Duntov is awsome. Especially the widebody. She's just so much wider than a regular Vette... I think that C3's would have looked even better if they would have been built a little wider..

Olivier

P.S. That's actually one thing I like about C5's compared to C3's and C4s's (that they are wider)

I normally don't like recessed headlights on Corvettes. For some reason watching them pop up after you turn on the lights, just thrills me. :yesnod:

But the recessed square healights, I do like, and they look  .

I also like the square conversion pop-ups.

7782vette...thanks, be sure to post pics when you get your pop ups in.
These fit perfect no trimming or anything. Bolted right in like you said.
Thanks again,
David
