Default Whose good with heads?

I just looked at a SBC long block that I am thinking of buying. We cannot figure out what heads are on it though.

The Only marks are a "W" on the very corner of the heads and a 17211 stamped on the ends. No markings under the valve cover. They are aluminum, non-Vortec style (as the intake bolts to do not straight in). Straight plugs. Center Bolt Valve Cover.

Or maybe the "W" was actually an "M".

Anyone have any ideas??

Shoot a photo of them. Post it here and you'll get a good answer.

If they didn't put their name on them they are probably not too proud of them.

Thats what I am thinking to.

The guy wants 900 but will take less for the complete long block. He is in the same boat I am in. We dont know what the PO's have done to the cars, so he is starting from scratch. I was going to go for a top end kit, but when I add all the little things, a rebuild is going to be out of my price range this year. Which made this an appealing offer. He will take much less as he dosent know any details on the motor as well......
