gearbox identification any help here?
Hi team we get lots of gearboxes/transmissions sent here in containers by various speed shops but not always they are what they say any help here with easy id tips? and when did vettes change to borg warner 1979?
what sort of horsepower can some of these boxes take comfortably?
any help appreciated

The auto recyclers (salvage yards) have a book that shows how to identify the various engines and transmissions. It also has a section with applications of the various types.
