mid to high speed vibration....

im feeling a vibration at 50 mph and up. in past exp, this has often been universal joint issue. havent had this L82 1980 model long, and although i have changed oil, and performed other regular maintainence, i have not checked rearend gear oil. it does have a slight clunking when shifting into gear, especially into reverse. any thoughts? i have changed email addresses, but havent changed it on here yet. im fixin to. my new email is joedapro@comcast.net. thanx guys

Where do you feel the vibration? Steering wheel, shifter or seat of the pants? That will narrow down the the possible problems a little.

Tire/wheel balance problem, most likely. The 'clunk' when you put it in gear is probably worn-out/rotted rubber cushions on the differential mount.

I feel it in the pants. About 2 weeks ago i may have flat spotted my tires a little though
