Default Crossfire Rebuild

Preparing to removing the throttle bodies from my '82 for new bushings (100K miles). Any recommendation as to who I should send them to for a quality rebuild back to OEM spec?

Thanks!

not sure myself but if keeping the crossfire and car also see about getting them bored as well. If you have them off go the full distance.

They were my first choice but called them twice and e-mailed yesterday. No answer and no response.

If you haven't done so already, just search the web for "fuel injection throttle body rebuilders" and check out the sources that come up. One is "LTS" and is listed as "GM TBI Rebuilding". You can also get a rebuilding kit from some of the auto supply stores. I don't know if they carry a shaft rebushing kit (with reamer) or not.

The LTS write-up is interesting...especially about using a 1/4" spacer to attain "15% more airflow". But, I would think you should get larger injectors installed, if you really would get that 15% more airflow. Might be worth a call to them to investigate.

I just did mine myself last week!
I bought another set of TB's that I am going to have a friend machine and then use the reamer I bought. My drill press was not big enough for the reamer. I used .375 bushings, my shafts were .371 so I am back to square one as how they came from the factory, .004. By reaming undersize bushings I can get to .373 or .002. The car runs great again!
