Default tpi in a c3

Has any one put a tuned port in a c3 using the original headers into side pipes? I have a tpi out of a 90 trans am complete w/700r4 and a painless harness i was going to use in my 55 however i have been contemplating putting it in my 74 vette but i want to keep my side pipes & headers,I know it has been done,but has any one here done this,

The drivetrain would certainly justify the transfer to the C3. You can make the side pipes fit, as required when you get it installed. That would be an ideal combination for your car. {Then put the C3 drivetrain in your '55!}

You only need one O2 sensor for a TPI setup, make sure it's heated because if you're running headers you'll have to have it a bit too far away from the exhaust port.

I know early TPI cars (MAF) do not use heated O2s. You'll have to wire up for that.

I am in the process of a TPI in my 74 also, wireing is no problem. How you going to do the fuel pump and tach? I was thinking of a frame mounted pump? Return to one of the evaporative emmis ports on the top corner of the tank. Maybe putting a 75 up tach in the original hole. Going to run the original ram horns unless i can pick up some sidepipes. Got 2 tpi set ups with wireing. Good luck.

I'm doing a 74 as well, have you decided on fuel pump and lines?
