Continuing in my chasing of electrical gremlins I have made some progress. The first discovery was my low cranking voltage was due to battery connector being loose on the cable. Looked ok, but it came off in my hand when I was reinstalling the battery after testing. It is reattached, car now starts, but a new cables are in the future.
The second one I really feel stupid. The dash lights did not work because I had them turned off. All my other cars in recent history the brightness increases when you turn CW. This one is just opposite. Is that correct or do I have another gremlin to chase?
