Hey, looks like twins! I painted my frame because I don't have an oven big enough to powdercoat a frame. But I did use industrial Imron paint which is pretty chip resistant.

Sandblasted, then two coats of POR-15 semi-gloss (brushed on - dried to a perfect no brush-stroke shine) followed by two coats of Tremclad (spray on).
The Tremclad was to shelter the POR-15 from UV as the POR-15 shine will turn cloudy with sun exposure. The paint will not lose it's main function - bullet proof protection - but without overcoating it will lose the dark gloss.
