Default pulls right under braking...

80 vette. Stainless steel lines added, braided hoses at each caliper, new stock calipers, new stock rotors, hawk pads. All that was added a 1.5years ago which is when I took it off the road to re-do it. Now it is back on the road with new shocks, springs and 18" tires.

Pulls to the right under braking. I took it to get aligned which helped a lot. However, still pulls right at slower speeds but at high speeds it really pulls right.

What else can I check? Bled the system multiple times, I see no leaks, everything is new including the master cylinder. Not sure what else to check.

Also, here are the alignment specs in degrees... maybe this could be the problem?
FL-camber -0.6, caster 3.0, toe 0.31
FR - camber -0.6, caster 2.8, toe 0.29
RL - camber -0.3, toe .11
RR - camber -1.1, toe 0.08

I had similar issue, but almost wrecked when I hit brakes at high speed . . . scared the crap out of me. My issue was front suspension. Same as you, I had replaced everything in the braking system. Mine worked great for a while, but then started pulling to the right under braking. I had replace everything in the suspension when I did the brakes, so everything was new. I thought it was issue with bleeding brakes, but fluid was free of air.

Someone suggested checking front suspension. When I looked underneath, sure enough, one of the lower control arm bolts had come out. Have you rebuilt your front suspension? Check it to make sure it is working correctly.

Yep, all new.

Talked to another alignment shop that was recommended from a corvette specialties shop and sent in the numbers from my car. He feels that the alignment may be the problem.

I will double check the bolts under the front end

I'm a little confused on when problems arose but do this.

Raise the front of the car then rotate the RF wheel by hand. Is it dragging? (You should be able to spin it a full turn with moderate effort). If she's dragging, you may have some mechanical binding and here are some thoughts:

* Did you use the "anti-rattle shims" that attach to the back of the pads? If so, remove them.

* Foreign substance on the friction surfaces can cause the pads to grab and pull

* A bent caliper bracket will cause dragging

* A bent spindle will cause misalignment of the rotor and dragging brakes (I had this problem on a 69 Camaro that I had purchased; took me forever to diagnose)

* Did you say the calipers are new? Is your "floating" caliper able to float? In other words is it stuck in the bracket eliminating the caliper's ability to adjust to the pads?

This is often a bad brake hose to the caliper. Being new isn't always a guarantee that you can rule that out.

pulling to the right tells me the left caliper is not working. I would double check the left side, jack it up off the ground and work the brakes to see if they are grabbing properly.

Check your lower control arm frame mounts at the crossmember. Mine was doing the same thing and the bracket had broken loose from the frame really messing up the camber and ruining two new BFG T/A tires. Had the bracket welded back and braces added as insurance. Now it drives great again. Search this forum and you'll find more info with pictures. It is apparently a pretty rare problem but it does happen often enough to be documented here.
