I HATE AMBULANCES!!!

Just think if you had gotten hurt, then you would have had to ride in that dam ambulance :reddevil
Even if it was raining...no excuse.
I feel sorry for your car, and not trying to come down hard on you, but let the blame go where it really belongs.

I have to agree
...... but i guess it could have been worse.. at least no one was injured.. and i got them better then they got me :mad
First, did the ambulance have it's red lights and siren on? Were you following too close?
And what's with the statement that at least no one was injured? Obviously someone was or where was the ambulance going to? Someone either in the ambulance was on their way to the hospital or the ambulance was on the way to help someone hurt. Put yourself in that persons shoes. Wouldn't you want to have the ambulance get there as fast as they can?
Don't get me wrong. I don't mean to scold you. In my proffesion, I have seen Emergency Vehicles get a little on the un-safe side of driving. But I have seen a lot more drivers that totally ignore Emergency Vehicles altoghther.
So next time, cut the Emergency Vehicle some slack. They are there to help people, and next time, it just might be someone you know or yourself.

No matter what the cause, Justins car is damaged and I hope him the best with the repairs.
I once was behind an ambulance (yes - I caught up to it) being blocked in the fast lane of a four lane road. The asses in front of him wouldn't get over. So the ambulance decides to drive through the median and drive in the fast lane (and a couple foot shoulder) going the wrong way on the opposite side against oncoming traffic. Yes, the cars in front were wrong but was the ambulances course of action safe?
C'mon guys. Let's not get all self-righteous. It was an "accident", that's why they call them accidents. Anyone who claims they've never taken their eye off the road for a few seconds or did something that could have caused an accident is a liar. :bs And anyone who's been in an accident that they could have avoided, and claims that they didn't try to shift some blame onto somebody else is a liar too. :bs We've all done it. "If that truck wasn't parked there, I would have seen him coming", or "If he was going the speed limit, I could have made it across the intersection", or maybe "If the cars in front of me had seen or heard the ambulance coming and slowed to a stop instead of slamming on their brakes, I wouldn't have rear-ended them". And honestly, some of them actually carry some merit. Accidents usually occur when more than one person is being stupid. The ambulance driver could have been taking unecessary risk, the people in front of him could have realized that there was an ambulance and slowed to a stop, and yes, he could have had a little more room between him and the car in front. Who knows. I wasn't there.
Sorry to hear about your car. Hopefully insurance will make her good as new. :blueangel:

My wife was in my 68 Firebird and got in an accident. It truly was an accident, although the error in judgement was definitely hers. She tried to pass a slowpoke Saturn in a gravel-filled lane that disappears in a hundred feet and merges to one lane. The butt in front of the Saturn floored it, so my wife floors it too because she's running out of lane. Well, that's like driving on ball bearings, so she goes into a fishtail and doesn't know how to correct. She slid sideways into another car in the oncoming lane and made a mess of things.
So this cop comes up to the window just about the time I heard about it and arrived at the scene. The first thing out of his mouth was, "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!!!!!!"...Not, are you hurt, or what happened here.
It sucks to be in an accident in a car you've sweat blood restoring or building. It sucks more when people are quick to assign blame like that cop did to my wife right off the bat.
So let's cut Justin a little slack. Maybe he was following too closely. Maybe a lot of things. But whatever the reason, his Vette was trashed, and I'd be pissed too.
...Justin, maybe this is an opportunity to freshen up the paint on the front half of the car now.
