Well, I was out of town over the last couple of days and there was some pretty good storms in the area and my car cover was blown halfway off my Vette when I got home. The weatherstripping on my '70 is original and is in desperate need of replacement (one of those "I'll get around to it" things). The rear compartment is soaked pretty good. I've used towels to soak up as much water out of the carpet as I could. I've also tried a shopvac and fans, but it is still awfully wet. Any ideas on what I can use to help the drying process along?

Coupe or Convertible?
You might check the rear plenum drains. Mine were clogged with debris when I first got the car. It would fill them up and then just overflow down the back wall and into the interior. On convertibles the drains go straight aft, on coupes they go to the sides. I took off the covers, shop vac'd out the crap and then took an engine brush (on the long flexible handle) and worked the crud out of the drains. ~Juliet
