Default 200R4 bushing removal tool

Anyone use this tool?

http://atoztool.com/2200.html

Need to pull the tailshaft bushing from my 200R4. This trans has no removable tailpiece, so this job has to be done with the transmission in the car

Well, yes....that's the 'proper' tool for that job. If replacing that bushing [and seal] is the ONLY thing you are doing to that tranny, I would advise you to just take the car to the local transmission shop and let them change the bushing and seal "on the car". Unless they are a 'clip joint', the total bill wouldn't be much more than the cost of that tool!! If you go that way, get a quote for ALL work/parts/labor, before you agree to it...so there won't be any 'surprises'.

Other folks may have some suggestions on 'home-made' tools that will also do that job (for FREE).

OK, after calling a few local parts stores and rental places with no luck, I went and bought the tool I'm sure I'll use it again on other vehicles, plus I'd rather do it myselfanyway...car is already on jacks, rear seal is out, driveshaft is on the bench

I'll post up how well this tool works when I'm done with the job....anyone with a 200R4 or other trans without the removable tailshaft might want to know....

I've never tried the following ...
But I've heard of it & do Not KNOW if it'll work for YOU.

Without removing old bushing, Install a new bushing against the old bushing, Pushing the old bushing farther into tailshaft housing.
