Default Removing header bolt with factory A/C

Before I go and do something stupid on my newly purchased 1981 vette, what's the easiest way to remove the forward most header bolt on the right side of my engine? The factory A/C bracket is attached to the botlt, and the coolant line runs right next to it.
Any help would be appreciated.

There's no way around it, you gotta remove the lower AC bracket.
Pretty much means you remove the compressor first. Just unbolt and push it aside.

So, just remove the lower bracket without removing the compressor? 'Cause the compressor can't go anywhere without disconnecting the hoses.

You can rig up a way to 'hang' the compressor with it still connected to the hoses. Mechanics do it all the time. But, I would suggest that you not hang it from the hood. Perhaps a 2x2 laid across the fenders (properly padded, of course). Or, maybe there's a bracket on the inside of the right fender that has the strength to suppor that additional amount of weight. Get creative; just stay safe and keep the car safe, too.

I've pulled the compressor to the side. A piece of wire in the hole in the fender lip that the side intake duct screwed into.
Of course, now you gotta take the duct out, but that will give you a whole lot more room to work.
