I see they don't sell the tool anymore but they do sell a replacement for the lower part of the cross member.Anyone replaced theirs.I notice zip carries the panel..I have been busy fixing othere things and now that I have gotten around to it they sell the tool anymore.Just my luck I guess.Mine has been bent in pretty good.I don't know if the tool would have good enough to repair it or not.

Please post what you find out as I am in need of the tool also.
How about this - I think it might be a good way to split the cost. There seems to be enough interest that this would probably work.
Someone buy the part, and then agree to sell it for $30 less than they paid for it. I looked, and the part qualifies for free shipping, so if someone buys it, I would pay them 130+shipping for it, and when done, I would sell it for 100+shipping. The person that buys it could either keep it or sell it - eventually it will reach a point were someone will decide that to keep it.
I would be willing to go first, if someone would agree to buy it for $130+shipping - but my car is currently in the shop till mid-March.
Hi,
I believe the tool goes into place through the front spring pocket in the frame, so the suspension on one side has to be disassembled.
This might affect just when people would want this tool, and how long they might keep it.
Regards,
Alan

At some point I'll need to perform this fix but having just installed my new springs I think I can live with the dent for awhile.. probably a long time.
If my vette does not sell I am definitely in for the tool.
I also have the original Kent Moore Tool that makes it easy to remove the spring. You can see the tool if you have a Service Manual at the end of the Front Suspension section.
I've bought one. Whatever you guys want to work out is fine with me. It should be here Friday. I'll be done with it the same day. Use my email, g.dan@mac.com.
And yes the shipping was free via ground 7-10 day delivery, but I need it sooner. Don't worry about the shipping cost.
Let me know, I'm happy to give back for the help I have received from the members.
