Default Stahl or Headman Headers?

Have a SBC in a 66 with fresh dyno 552 hp, Dart 215 square port heads. The car will be used on the road race tracks. We want to keep the side exhaust! Looking at either the Headman headers again which we had in the car or change to the Stahl. The side pipes are big block from Stainless works. The Stahls are $500 bucks more.
Any Opinions?

Any suggestion!. We want to keep the factory moldings if we can.

take the car up to Performance Stainless in Appleton, they will build you a set of triple step headers w/side pipes out of carbon steel right on the car.....they did mine in`05 and I was quite pleased. or your customer could buy my motor and get the headers for free....the motor did go 2:25.0 at Road America in Sept`06, or he could buy my car and get a spare motor (that one went 2:26 at R/A) for FREE...your pal from Elkhorn Howard Cash

Hello Howard

Thanks I will get a hold of Performance Stainless and see what they can do.

I wonder if anyone has seen any articles on testing for the best headers?

You have a lot car there. Why is it retired? They were made to be run!
I sure wish I could afford your car / motor.....been looking for a mid year project car for wife (good excuse)

I was doing High Speed Auto Crossing with Midwest Council last year until the last motor spun a rod bearing.

Hi 63 Mako

Thanks for the info.

How many miles do you have on the trailing arms?

I am too busy in the shop trying to keep up to do much posting. I sort just I do sort of chuckle though when some the experts get into a pisxxxx match.
