Bought this Vette on Veteran's Day 2010. I've replaced every seal on the engine, new radiator, power steering pump, rear wheel bearing and front end bushings. Everything on it was original so after thirty plus years I guess it was time. (if I had as many leaks as it did I would have to wear diapers).
Anyway, once I got all the mechanical stuff done I started on the interior, new seats, carpet, all the door and top seals.
When I ordered the carpet I did not realize there were two colors of doeskin, light and dark. I ordered light and when it came in I realized it was not the same color as that in it, (carpet was not original). Anyway, I liked it better so I kept it. Put hush mat under everything and placed the new carpet in and then realized that the carpet on the door panels was dark doeskin. Talked with the folks at Willcox and they can get me carpet by the yard but I don't think I can re-create my map pockets. I was hoping I was done for a while but it looks like new door panels will be next. Any ideas?
BTW I put a "wheel skins" cover on my steering wheel.........they look great.[IMG][/IMG]

Looks good! I could never have a light colored interior though.
It seems like I am Pig Pen from Charlie Brown. I sit down and when I get out half the forest got tracked in on my shoes and now covers the floor boards.
Looks good. Same here, makes me want to refresh my old carpet, instead of sitting on my **** waiting to get my engine back to life.
Nice looking car over all. I like the wheel spinners.
