Headlight switch
In between the switch and the back of the dash is an aluminum ring with an arm that screws into the top right speedo mount. Does anyone know what it is, what it's called and where I can get one? Not sure there is anything wrong with it. Just trying to be prepared as I reassemble my dash

It's called out in the AIM as 'Strap'. 3928779
Because of where it's attached to the switch and pad, I've always thought it helped stabilize the switch in the dash pad. But Roco might well be right!
I don't see it listed at the vendors I looked at.
