I have a 350 bored .060 over, aluminum edelbrock performer heads, 64cc, roller rocker arms, roller comp cam 292 duration, air gap performer intake, holley 750 mechanical secondaries, MSD 6A, MSD Timing control computer and headers. I want to add a 100 shot of NOS (I think anything more than that would be too risky). My question is: Will the NOS affect compression, or would I have to use racing fuel (I gotta use 91 as it is now). I know I'll have to get a bigger flowing fuel pump, bigger fuel lines, etc. but what else will I need?? Anyone with a C3 with NOS  please help!!!
Your probably going too need forged pistons and rods. Pistons atleats thise that are made for N20. They have there piston rings moved lower in the piston. Other than that just make sure you can get enough fuel and get everything dialed in correctly.
...and a bottle heater, and a bottle pressure guage, fuel pressure guage wouldn't hurt. I used to run a 75HP dry kit on my '95 Mustang GT with hypereutectic (sp?) pistons and I don't think I ever hurt it. You just really have to keep an eye on your fuel pressure. Also, I had to run my timing retarded a little, which is no big deal when you're on the bottle, but the rest of the time it cuts into your fun. But all of that aside, I loved it!
You also have to run a colder plug and bring back your timing one degree for every 50hp shot. At 100hp shot you should be fine provided you have the fuel. You'll only run lean ONCE :yesnod: I'd get all the safty precautions, fuel pressure cut off switch and window switch. My Stingray will see Nitrous at the end of the year. :yesnod:

Re: Quick question about NOS (Corey 68)
If you have decent rods and pistons you will be fine. NOS is not nearly as hard on engines as people believe, if properly tuned. What is your compression ratio now. A V-8 can usualy do 100 shot with only retarding the timing 2-4 degrees, for a little extra insurnace run a one step colder plug. Or add a little octane boost or good gas.
I have a Sportsman fogger on mine. I have a MSD timing control mounted on my consoul so I can retard the timing from inside the car when I want to get into the juice.
I run all the saftey stuff Corey talked about. The window switch and fuel shut off is a very good idea. :chevy
IM in the middle of installing a superpowershot kit to my 74 with zz4. They say you only need forged pistons if you are above 125hp. Of course it would be better to have them regardless, but im sticking with the stock pistons in my zz4. i would suggest getting a FP safety switch, a FP gauge, nitrous pressure gauge, and MSD window swtich (or Nitrous Mastermind, which is nice cause it retards the timing only when you shoot the nitrous) As you said a high flow fuel pump youll need. I would suggest electric though. You really dont need bigger fuel lines, and it would even be pointless b/c the fitting they give you and hose supply to the fuel solenoid is 5/16" Just make sure it flows a high GPH and at least 7+ psi.
I would also run 93 or 94 octane just to be safe, and maybe even some octane booster. Colder plugs as someone said before is suggested for anything above 100Hp according to the NOS install manual, but would be safer even at 100HP.
Also would suggest a competition motorsports nitrous switch that will mount to your holley carb. Much nicer switch than the one NOS gives you.
if you wanna know more on the nitrous mastermind, send me an IM
I'm already running almost 10.5:1 compression. I would definitely put in a Mastermind unit, Fuel cutoff switch, etc. I wouldn't spare on ANY safety cautions (a few extra $$ now will save me lots of $$ in the future if I f*ck something up). How much do you think it'll cost to have everything PROFESSIONALLY and CORRECTLY installed? Also, Summit has a Vortech supercharger for carburated chevy's. Would this be a wiser choice (of course I would change to low compression pistons and a blower cam)? thanks!!
I think you'll need to borrow my Hoosiers once you have it installed...

Re: Quick question about NOS (StingrayRacing)
Unless you are going through a lot of NOS, the NOS would be a lot cheaper. It is hard to say how much it would cost to get it all hooked up. It is not very time consuming, compared to taking the motor out for a piston and cam swap. The safety stuff you want to run is not very exspenive. I would give whatever NOS maker you are going with and spend some time on the phone with them. :chevy

haha...right.....what are you going to do now though?? you should go with a little spray tho...sure aint gonna hurt your engine...
i dont think the hoosiers will fit tho caus i dont have offset t/a's whatdya think?
Just remember guys, the fuel pressure at idle is no where near where it will be under speed. I made that error on a mustang i had. the fuel pressure dropped to the poin that I was way to lean with the NOS and it was pinging all over the damn place
