Engine Crate

I need to ship an engine, BBC, from the Philly area to Phx., but I can`t seem to locate a crate. I like the plastic two piece, but I`m not that picky. If I can get this squared away then I can concentrate on finding a reasonably priced shipper. Can anyone help me? Any ideas?

go to your local chevrolet parts dept and ask them to save you one
my zz4 came in a crate but i have my L82 in it now for storage

Thanks! I spoke with them Saturday and he was ready to check, but I just wanted the policy. He said as far as getting one, it just depends on availability. I am not wanting to ship an empty crate to Philly. because maybe a dealership out there could help or if someone might want to "unload" one.

i see. i thought you were in Philly but your not. too bad it is not here cause i would go get it and take it to the place with the motor for you

You could build a crate. Bolt the engine stand to a nice heavy shipping skid. Then box around it with a 2 x 4 frame and finish with 5/8" plywood. Good luck.

Thanks for the offer and suggestion, guys. Unfortunatly, I can`t be in Phlly right now to take care of business myself. Tomorrow I`ll go see the friendly MOPAR guys and see if they can help. Regardless of brand loyalty, everyone likes `Vettes! :D
