Courtesy light question?
Hello everyone. I have a question that I hope you can help me answer.
In a 1968 roadster did the back luggage area have a courtesy light as standard or were they added on?
If it did was it mounted in the center of the rear (like the 69 and up) or attached elsewhere.
I also ask since the pictures I have seen online does not show any and when looking at parts at say Eckler’s one courtesy light lens (A2393) says it’s for 1963-1967, 1969-1973 and then one (42955) says it’s for a 1968 Coupe.
So I’m not sure if the 68 verts had one any help would be great oh wise ones!!!!
Bryan

Hi Bryan,
I believe in 68 the convertibles had a single light bulb in a metal bracket that was mounted to the the driver's side inner vertical hinge assembly.
Regards,
Alan

Alan is right on the money. It wasnt fancy, no lens, just a socket and a bracket.
