Default Relay board?

Hey guys,

Has anybody installed any kind of a relay board in the engine compartment of a C3?

I'm planning to run relays for the horn (newer version) and electric fans for the rad, and eventually the headlights/brights.

Doesn't look like there's enough room near where the horn relay is presently which was my original idea. Looking around, I'm hoping maybe someone on here has already done one that I could maybe copy!!

Please let me know, and pics would be great!!

The inner fenders are good locations that are easy to reach. On the passenger side just forward of the radiator overflow bottle there is some easy to reach real estate on the inside of that fender wheel. Same for the driver side but you have to forward of the booster and master. The driver's side is also a good side to choose because of the main harness of wiring and vacuum lines going up to the nose for the headlights and such. Just bundle your wiring in with that group for a clean installation.

Can you mount it to the 'aft' face of the vacuum reservoir, below the hose nipples? There is no problem drilling 1/8" holes where you need and using Pop-rivets to connect the mounting board to that metal reservoir can. I would suggest that you put some RTV sealant at the hole locations to seal them well, and possibly put some little rubber bushings between the vacuum tank and the mounting board so that board vibrations are 'snubbed'.

Just one possibility...

I've looked in those spots, doesn't really look like enough room!

Any more? I figure I should be able to mount all in a roughly 6"x 6" area, but trying to figure out where to put them is turning out to be harder than I thought!
