Start with vendors of Corvette parts. You'll be looking for a kick down switch and a solonoid.

Kickdown on a 400 is electric. The kickdown 'switch' can be anywhere (mounted to accel pedal, on throttle linkage, etc.). But, the kickdown switch then sends a 12vdc signal to the kickdown solenoid inside the tranny (mounted to the bottom of the valve body separator plate). When that solenoid opens, it dumps pressure, causing the downshift.

400 = Electric kick-down. Plug on the tranny is on the driver's side just behind the shifter cable bracket. Two spades in a "T"

I don't have an pic's of the switch, it mounts behind the acc-pedal normally but as 7T1vette it can be put other places (aftermarket)

The 75 assembly instructon manual (AIM) shows everything you need and lists the original GM part numbers.

Oddly enough, someone's got a 400 switch in the parts section right now
