do you know this paint code??????

I am getting ready to paint the vette. Saw this car at carlisle a few years back. Anyone know the paint name or colorcode??? I believe it is a factory corvette color, but dont know if its a 79 color or not?? In the shade it looks like a midnight blue, but in the sun it looks purple?? Have seen several restored 79's this color??? any help would be appreciated??

Code 83 is Corvette Dark Blue........But don't remember seeing one look that purple.

Code 83 is listed as Dark Blue Metalic. I'm guessing that this would take on a purple tint in the sun... I have a Vauxhall (UK GM!) that is a similar finish, and it looks decidedly purple in the sun.

I have a dark blue '79 with the OEM paint. I've seen at least five others like mine that have supposedly been repainted the original color. They each look different. I don't know if it's different interpretations of the pigment formula or what.
