Wiper door problem on '68??
My wiper door needs to be pulled up when you cut them on. Wipers work fine. Door promptly closes when you cut off the wipers.
Cant seem to find any leaks.
Any ideas?

If '68 is the same as '69, the wiper switch sends a signal to a soleniod valve mounted behind the tach which starts the door closing process. The override bypasses the solenoid so it's a good place too start. I remember a thread on disassembling and cleaning this valve not too long ago if it's OK electrically. This part is not available from any of the catalog suppliers, so if you need one, you'll have to find one used.
