Pace Performance ZZ430 Motor
Hey guys, I was looking for comments/feedback on this motor from Pace Performance. I don't really have the tools, time, know-how to build my own motor, but was thinking something along the lines of the one from Pace. It would go in my 71 vette with Tremec TKO-600 Tranny and 4:11 gears.

I was looking at other motors from the ebay builders, but price vs. HP/Torque seem too good to be true and a bit sketchy. An example of the motor on ebay I was looking at was from United Racing Engines, but friends are telling me to stay away...

My experience:
Bought the ZZ4 crate from Pace. They offered a 5 year , 50k mile GM warranty. That alone trumped the independent builders.
Next was price. EVERYTHING on this new crate is brand spanking NEW, even the block. You just can not beat that price for new stuff.
Then there was the shipping of $125 to a local business dock . ( a friend owns this, he unloaded and stored for free till I could pick it up) ..
I see Jegs gets $185 shipping....
I am not sure about YOUR application and fitment, but am quite sure if you call Pace, speak with Mark Lucicosky. He helped me with insuring the ZZ4 would fit in my 80 model.... It took a drop base air cleaner that they swapped out for free. Good people to deal with and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

If you're going the crate motor route; that looks like a pretty good option for the price. I've dealt with Pace in the past. Good group of people.
The Ebay motor looks like it uses good parts and has AFR heads. I just looked at it quickly, but it doesn't look bad either.
